An autumn walk in the forest 🍂

Hi everyone, this is near the top of a hill and it’s like coming out of a tunnel with the sunlight to welcome you. I love this part of the forest and was really pleased as a fox crossed the path just in front of me and they’re inquisitive animals so always pause to look at you and then run off through the the trees.

I think the forest will be at its most magnificent in the coming week which will entice me out more as the delicate colours change with the time of day and leaves are strong but appear fragile. There’s already a russet carpet on the parts of the path so it will be seriously scrunchy under foot soon.

The walk was just over 4 miles but it is a steep hill so meandering down is a dawdle and then home for lunch so an enjoyable walk. 🍂

The scenery with the trees and blue sky look lovely. The cloud looks like a mini blanket covering one of the trees overhead.
