An encounter with a male boar on the footpath 🐗

Hi everyone,

I was out for a walk and the rain starting getting heavier so I made my way home and on a narrow path between a pond and a stream I came across this big fella and neither of us wanted to turn around so we had a stand off before he hid in the undergrowth by the pond after I passed him he flew out like a bullet leaves a gun and it was scary how fast and powerful boars are but they are shy of humans. We've met a few times as his family (sounder) live really close by and I've more photo's of the 3 mums and their little ones.

You can see how hard its raining and how big he its as he must weight 500lbs with tusks makes him a gentle giant. 🐗

But be careful Jerry.... But wildlife is amazing! Glad we have in the UK!

No comparison, but a few years back, in a wooded area up here, a dragon fly flew right towards me and over my head!

Even that is now a rare sight!

Well I do try in my Garden, but think people are more aware of our declining wildlife now! 👌

Hi Zest I've had a very close encounter with this big fella before when I followed a couple of stag deer and as I came over the brow he was asleep and I was within 1M of him! But it ended amicably 😊🐗
