Walking for health is great idea to get out and about and meet other people and its taking the first step...
I love walking and have found that I go from day dreaming and enjoying everything around me to suddenly seeing the answer to a problem and then its not a problem any more, so yes walking is a great way of getting about and relieving stress at the same time.
I like walking in the city too and I often think how miserable bus stop people look but I guess they've further to go. I sometimes walk 2 miles into the city centre and I like that as its a hustling bustling road with lots going on... but I like coming home most LOL. π
