SOMETIMES WHEN I READ THE BLOGS AND QUESTIONS FROM OTHERMEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY I FEL ASHAMED. CONSIDERING ALL THE TRIIALS AND TRIBULATIONS THAT A LOT OF OUR COMMUNITY HAVE GONE THROUGH I HAVE NO RIGHT TO FEEL SORRY FOR MYSELF. APART FROM MY SIGHT AND A BIT OF A WOBBLE WHEN I WALK I HAVE NO REAL REASON TO COMPLAIN. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH DOCTORS, CONSULTANTS, REHAB MOST OF ALL BENEFITS. SO I WOULD LIKE TO WISH AL OF YOU WHO ARE EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS BEST WISHES IN THE FUTURE.
GIVI G THANKS: SOMETIMES WHEN I READ THE BLOGS AND... - Headway
GIVI G THANKS
I understand your sentiments, I too am less damaged than many people here but I certainly don't feel ashamed & neither should you. Everyone here has either had brain trauma or is trying to help someone who has...and we are all affected at different levels. Please don't feel guilty.....just feel grateful and proud.
Your little dog is adorable. Regards x
i understand too, i am less damaged than many other people ,but reading the posts here i have a greater understanding of all people with disabilitys,my traumatic event has made me a better person i dont feel sorry for myself never have i had to sort myself out long and hard journey, lots of love to you all,xxx
Like everything else in life there is a spectrum of severity for brain injury and certainly no two ABI's are the same! This doesn't mean that your experience is any less valid than anyone elses or that you will add any less value as a member of this site.
Please don't stop contributing!
C xx
Thank you so much for your very kind words.
It is true that everybody has their own difficulties and for each of us we have to battle to come through.
People like you are a great support to others because you give us all HOPE.

I too empathise with this comment, however my life has changed beyond all recognition because of my ABI, every day is a war but I am not giving in I am catching up on those things I was leaving 'til I retired it just takes me so much longer to do things now, and I can't work those last few years before retirement so money will be tighter but I am grateful for every day I have now, I make sure I pace myself and try to keep my sense of humour, thank goodness for spell check!
U deserve to be ere like all of us u write good comments and replys espially on mine take care
Maybe my SAH is not as serious as some peoples problems, but I still need the support this site offers as when you have these issues, we can all have some very common issues.
