why being in this life feel like being in prison life?
Nick, I wish I could do something to make you feel better. I have just read your profile, You have been through so much! Going to college is a great thing to do and allows you to be with people, please remain strong and now that people do care, Linda xx
thanks for this but couldn't handle college so had to drop out
Hello Nick,
My son is a couple of years younger than you and had his accident in 2006. Several years ago I remember him crying and saying to me “My life is Sh**” There was no point in arguing with him because he was right, it was Sh**. All I could do was to agree with him and tell him he had every right to be upset because what had happed to him was horrible.
But I went on to say that by struggling through this bad time he would get to places in the future that he would enjoy – that he was crying now but that he really would laugh and have fun times again.
Since then we have had lots of wonderful and happy experiences together, ones that I would not have missed for the world. There have been other hard times too – but when we are down I remind him that we only need to wait for the Sh** go and the better times to come again – they always do.
The good times for you might be few and far between but I pray that you will wait for them and grab them when they happen. That picture on your profile looks like a good moment, hold on to times like that, they happened before and will come again. I really hope that this message might be just a little help to you.
God Bless,
Chris
Nick, things will get better, not over night, but they will.
You have started getting out socially now and you are now wanting to meet new people. Keep on coming to the events organised by Headway Lincolnshire and we will get you there!!.
It is great to see that you have had the support from Linda and Chris.
Ann-Marie
You're not alone, we all suffer with you bro.
thanks
