Hi do you have a occupational therapist? As they can arrange and help with lots of aids and things. Also have a look on entitledtoo.co.uk as they have information on lots of grants avaliable for house repairs x

Hi,

Some excellent information from SpirallingUp there.

Just some extra possibilities from our helpline. It's definitely worth speaking to your doctor and/or occupational therapist as mentioned, and you might also like to contact your local council's Adult Social Services department and ask for an assessment.

There's also a charity called Turn2Us that can help find grants etc - visit turn2us.org.uk/.

Headway also runs an emergency fund providing grants of up to £500 for people in the immediate aftermath of brain injury. Take a look at headway.org.uk/emergency-fu... . The criteria are quite tightly defined, but if you think you might qualify it could be worth making an application.

You might also try the Red Cross, as they sometimes have grants and equipment available.

Hope this helps, please post again if you continue to have problems, or contact our helpline on 0808 800 2244 or helpline@headway.org.uk.

Best wishes,

Headway.
