John and Janet Glover are back. Private optometry/ vision therapy/ vestibular therapy.

My neuro-optometrist, Janet Green, was amazing and fixed many of my visual processing issues. Then she retired.

She highly recommended John and Janet Glover if I needed any more help.

I used to share their service on here, but it and they disappeared a few years back.

Seems they have been in the US learning more skills and helping US military personal rehab after BI.

Now they are back in the UK and their service now uses an optometry/ visual and vestibular therapy combo.

Janet Green said this was the best way to rehab because the visual and vestibular system works together so if you rehab both at the same time you get the best results. I had optometry treatment from Janet Green and used to do vestibular rehab from free demos on YouTube. It all worked for me.

Here's their new updated website link

Thanks for this Pink, I used their services before covid but my balance is all askew now, may look to see if they can help again.

thanks for this- I am desperately seeking help for hemianopia following ABI- just seems nothing local to me (Reading).

Your health service should be able to help with hemianopia if it's caused by a defective eye. However if the issue is neurological you'll have to go private. You could also try getting referred to Leeds optometrists. Reading is a short journey from Cardiff on the train so you could go to Cardiff uni opticians because they have optometry testing at a low price. The uni teaches optometry.

If you want the full package of optometry and vestibular go to John and Jannet.

You know the health system has been stripped to the bone so you will struggle to get anywhere so your best bet is private.
