hi all, latest update.well as some of you will know, this is the second manager ive had to take on,the last one going home sick with "Tummy bug"just before c.h.c meeting...?mmm.this didnt go unnoticed, sean moved to new care home right away.Im starting to think these people must take some sort of training course, learning how to:lie, avoid, bully, and just to be downright cowards when confronted?Ive made my position clear to this woman both in writing(she has not responded as i told her she needed to)also told seans social worker situation, she reckons will be speaking to this person, veterans etc(wont hold my breath).Theres no way im going to pay £90 to solicitor to send letter of intent, got a much better plan...there will be a residents meeting next week, lets see how brave she is when she sees me sitting there!I also now have relevant therapy info(given by social worker)lets just say there is much to be explained, not just for us but for the other 100 plus residents in this place, lets see how she answers..I do so hope my good freind nanapal can make meeting, bring your popcorn pet!!!The worst thing about this is that the staff are fantastic, well beyond that in fact.i have noticed a big change in the way things are now, these carers are starting to gripe,i hear it and was never like this before. If there is anyone reading this that feels overwhelmed by similar situations remember this;your loved one is relying on you to step up,the people you deal with can go home and forget their day and the decisions they make.they are just people they make mistakes.more importantly,if you complain they have to answer at the end of the day they have more to lose than yourself.will keep you informed guys, love dxx

Surely people in the care sector should only reach management level once their competence in patient welfare and diplomacy is proven beyond doubt.

But when patients, loved ones, and even staff, are on the receiving end of mismanagement then the manager in question needs disciplining, or replacing.

I really hope you'll get satisfaction from the resident's meeting next week D., and that necessary changes are put in place for the benefit of all concerned. Look forward to your update...

I hope your knee's improving m'love.

Take care ; love as always, E. x 🤍

Oh I agree D ; straight shooting is exactly what's needed to get results these days. But, for paid staff, diplomacy should be a hard & fast rule when caring for people dependent on them for quality of life.

....rooting for you and look forward to your update m'love.

Good luck Xx

Morning D, well she will be going sick after residents meeting then won’t she. Obviously she will try and close you down, so be careful, and she may try push you in a corner to suggest moving Sean if your not happy, dont let her bully you into doing anything against Sean’s wishes, not that you would. Lots of luck my friend keep us up to date love Alice xx
