I would like some advice please. After a bad TBI three months ago with severe head and eye socket bruising, I find the bruising keeps recurring along with head pains. The next day I have to rest and have brain fog and fatigue and my balance is bad again. My gp said she would see me asap if the bruising got worse, but it didn’t and just keeps recurring. Any tips for getting better would be so helpful. I’m guessing rest is one of the best things.
many thanks

Keep pushing to get yourself checked ASAP. New or worsening bruising months after an injury could mean something is still going on that needs action if that isn’t your normal healing progress.
My mom had a brain bleed that doctors did nothing about nor did they even mention to family when she’d fallen, as they were more worried about surgery on both her arms. You have to be your own health advocate these days.
Arnica gel helps with bruises and isn’t too greasy like creams. I found it better than anything else I’ve personally tried.
I’m having a phone consultation with my go next week and I’m going to ask for a scan. Sorry to hear your mum had no help. You are right we have to be our own advocate.
