symptoms get worse

hello, so, i strained myself a bit earlier when i lifted my sofa to pull a rug underneath it, and this physical strain immediately made my brain symptoms worse - like a raise in blood pressure went straight to my head and increased the sensations of numbness and deadness across the top and down the left hand side.

I’m so upset by this, as the same thing seems to happen when i try and exercise. i’m supposed to be meeting a friend today but now feel so worried as my brain is on fire again and it affects my thinking and socialising!

anyone else have this? please give me some helpful tips or something, as i just can’t talk to doctors about this as they just don’t listen. SO BLOODY FED UP with having these brain problems.

anyway, thanks.

Hi Dann just had a look through your history and it does not say what kind of injury you have had. Some of your symptoms are very similar to my experiences. Did you have a TBI with whiplash?

Longterm brain problems after taking a toxic medication, not fully diagnosed. No whiplash history. do you have problems exercising in terms of your symptoms?

Hi Dann, yes but I've learned to live with it by not doing the exercises that cause issues. I have two things that affect exercise one is cervical and thoracic spine injuries caused by whiplash which affects the right side of my body. The other is dystonia that affects the right side of my body. The spinal injuries trap the nerves and causes tension over the left side my head and stops my fingers and arm from moving. The dystonia causes spastic like spasms during and after exercise that lock up my fingers and arm on the right side and stops fluids from being pumped out of my arm.

The spinal injuries are physiological, but the dystonia is neurological.

These are two different mechanisms and it sounds like you may have another.

My GP sent me to a private hospital to find out what the difference was because the NHS did not have the expertise to solve the puzzle.

It sounds like you are having a tough time working out your limitations. I just realized that if I did certain things they caused problems and stopped doing them.

It took a bit of adjusting psychologically but once I had accepted the fact that I could not do certain things I worked out what I could do instead and molded my life to my strengths.

You have had this for so long, do you get any help from an occupational therapist, they would help you organize your do's and don't's to be able to restructure your life.

Hi dann , that is what happened to me, I work colleague poured Zoflora double concentrate bleach down my throat. It has taken me 5 years and just getting better. Have been rushed in blue lights a d like you they just do not do anything. I started researching myself and you have to up your immune system as your blood cells have been oxidation. Take food full of antioxidants like spinach in a sandwich or cook it as well as other food like salmon and antioxidant teas like detox. Look up, home remedies for antioxidant cells. Spinach was the best and so far am getting better but sometimes still have bad days . Was given amitriptyline for neuro pain which has stopped dizzy but do have bad days when my blood pressure rises and I get hot and sweat going all red. Very slowly eat well and get out gradually. All the best.
