Hi, an existing or old spinal injury doesn't always preclude you from skydiving. Many drop zones will not entertain first time jumpers with this kind of history but others take a more practical case by case approach and are happy to allow you to jump if your doctor signs you off to do so. A Tandem jump attached to an exerienced instructor is the way ahead for you and take it from there. There is always the opportunity to "indoor" skydive if you have a wind tunnel within traveling distance and they are very addictive. Best of luck.
