its just after 3pm,what a crap day so far...took dog out early doors as usual he met his 2 fav girlfreinds so was running around like a nutter, started hobbling on way home,he had half pulled off one of his dew claws(i know from experience and expense just to let him crack on)i had app at local job centre(dont even, another story)so ive gone for only bus available only to find that this company no longer operates,so no bus...this is double whammy as i also rely on one of their busses to get me to visit son, which of course is a major problem for me.so,i come home and dog has pulled off "both" dew claws and ok but bleeding a bit so i had to pin him down to get bandages.we had a 20 min fight which im calling a draw as i did manage to acheive my aim, however i do have a good few scratches/bruises..socks has been under stairs since 11.30 in a huff but just about managed his lunch of liver/gravy..various other little annoyances folks..i had decided(i do not know why)that i was going to try to make hummous so thought i would do it today.from scratch soaking/boiling dried chick peas etc.i have just finished...i may have enough hummous to supply a couple of greek islands.it tastes good and google says you can freeze so we ok.as ive been tasting each batch i now have heartburn from hell.maybe if any more kids come trick or treating i will just breath on them, its as well im single!!!happy november guys...

Dear Dabh,

At least you didn't try, to make, Taramosalata (I think that's right? Spell Check doesn't know either!) with bloomin' Cod Roe everywhere! Mind you, if you get 'Good', at it, maybe supplying Crete might 'Work'😊.

Good luck, with the Production......

Hope the Dog is OK.

HI DaBH

Hope the puppers is ok

what a day.

sucks about the bus. Doesn't someone have to provide an alternate? I live in Canada so I am clueless - our bus service generally sucks here, we don't even have intercity buses anymore except in metro centre's. Anyway I hope you figure something out.

I'm impressed you can make hummous from scratch.

happy November

hey leaf, the dog is fine, ive learnt over years that he is not "my baby"and that most minor injuries he can handle without panic visits to vets! its very strange that i find your canadian..my son is having a medal presentation next week(queens jubilee medal)there will be some guys there that havnt seen him in a long time, they have been briefed about his disabilities.son spent 8 months at b.a.t.u.s canada 2003.one of the guys coming "bottled"a sky dive, there is a video of it with my son taking his turn doing it twice.he speaks of canada with so much happiness, before his accident he told me if he had a chance to live anywhere it would be canada(gave many reasons why)regarding transport issues, will work it out..thanks for your msg, always apprieciatedxx

No bus / Sox with poorly claws / heartburn........ poor you D !

Hope it's a better day for you today missus. And well done with your mass production of hummus. When I'm too busy to stop doing whatever I'm doing I load a big, chunky stick of celery with hummus to keep me going .....love the stuff 😋.

I couldn't be bothered with the trick or treat kids last night so left a large open tin of 'Celebrations' in the porch with light on ; it was emptied and left respectfully with lid replaced.

I've been rough for a few days ; no appetite & food tasted disgusting/headache/coughing/exhaustion/dizzy 😵 but hopefully shaking it off now and appetite returned.

I hope there's a replacement bus service available for you and you'll manage to see Sean --------(and get to the job centre - what the heck ?).

Poor Sox. He really does get himself into scrapes doesn't he. I hope his injured dew claws heal soon ; I bet the liver & gravy was pretty therapeutic though ! I'm guessing he'll be hiding indoors on the 5th.

See you later D. Take care, love always, Cat x

hey lovely, hope you feeling better?had all your jabs yet?make sure you get them.im going tues so will be a shaking mess which is not good as its seans medal presentation on wed.its taken the t/a captain a long time to organize this with people sean hasnt seen for a long time.i have provided suitable clothing for this event and mentioned to key worker manager vital that sean is correctly dressed.i have covered all bases and will turn up an hour earlier on wed.should i find he is not correctly dressed, then there will be a serious issue.im sure all will be fine, but if its not...will let you knowxx

Yes D., had the latest Covid jab with no after-effects other than the standard sore arm. Daughter & I don't have a flu jab after the first time ; we had them at the same time and were both really poorly for months afterwards..

I'm still pretty out of it (thanks for asking) but need to keep an appointment with my cardiologist on Monday morning. I made it to a dental appt today though and no treatment necessary.

About Sean's TA medal ; I hope all the necessary preparations work out ok . I'd like to hear how it goes next wed (all good I hope) --let me know ! Love ....Xxx

hi D, glad to hear your plodding on regardless, as usual.poor sox they do get themselves into these scrapes better off without the dew claws. Glad to hear the military are remembering to honour Sean with his medal, it will mean a lot to him, has he been officially discharged yet, my daughter found that quite difficult, but at least they are still counting him as one of them for now which is good, hope it goes well, thank him for his service love Alice xx

hey ali, yeah, sean was medically discharged april this year,he was devastated,at that point he was still at walkergate park im told when the m/o from catterick visited he had pleaded for another year to "get sorted",meeting cut short due to how upset/frustrated he was.wednesday will be a closure of a sort i guess.his t/a unit capt, has spent a lot of time bringing together comrades who have known sean for a long time, one of which was his corp at foundation college arbourfeild,so thats a 21 year situation.i do think they had ran into each other over the years, certainly i recall a meeting(drink up!)in n/ireland.anyway,it will be nice to see him again.im not alice leaving anything to chance and will be there early wed to make sure all ok.also we think rather in order that this comes so close to rememberance sunday, sean was a welcome addition to this t/a centre as the only chef they had in years!he provided food for the masses,im sure there will be many stories to tell on wed..poor socks had some last night, tonight is gunna be bad...x

yes D, my daughter too was devastated it was her life they had given their lives in a way, Remembrance Sunday is always a difficult time too, as they recall all that they lost, my girl and your boy came home but they are never the same people, my daughter lives with guilt that she even survived, they are not looked after properly enough, hope Sean can enjoy seeing his comrades, and they stay in touch, my daughter always says once a soldier always a soldier take care love Alice xx
