Frequent urination diagnosed concussion

I remember refusing visits in hospital from friends because I was so embarrassed by sudden, spontaneous needs to wee, often resulting in accidents. But nursing staff assured me it was commonplace after any brain injury.
I had a bleed on the brain, but loss of bladder control can affect folk with other types of injury, including concussion. It should gradually correct itself within a few weeks once messages between the brain & the bladder are working again.
Obviously if the issue doesn't improve you should contact your doctor in case your frequency is due to a UTI. But I was assured it would pass, and it did in just over 3 weeks.
Stay in touch m'dear ; I hope you'll be free of the problem sooner rather than later !
Best wishes, Cat x
They had to catheterise me as I couldn’t empty my bladder myself. The only embarrassment occurred when the nurses had to adjust the pipe work. After being “cured” of diabetes by starvation, I relapsed about a year later and the frequent urination resumed. I now have bottles in the bedroom to prevent any accidents.
