Hi folks,

I just finished this picture I drew.

It's for a guy who works/worked at a place near me called The Centre.

The Centre was a place who supported the homeless and vulnerable people but my craft group was able to use The Centre's facilities.

So through The Centre I have met other people who also know about my artistic talent.

But it sounds like The Centre has come to a close now. It is a shame but I kind of had a feeling it wouldn't last.

Less than a year they were open for.

The Centre was funded by Caratas, the church and the main reason why they closed is cos of Caratas by the sound of it.

I don't trust churches... but saying that I don't trust a lot of things in this crazy world we live in.

Brilliant picture Matt, I just wondering if you had sold any of your pictures or displayed any at a gallery? Maybe you could draw one if people requested something?

I remember the a tiger one you drew a while ago the detail was excellent.

Aww thanks very much CW :).

And yes, I do sell my work and the tiger and the picture posted are commissions.

The tiger is going to be sold to a guy I met at The Centre. He WAS homeless but with the help of The Centre he has his own flat now.

But he is struggling with funds right now so I haven’t managed to sell the tiger just yet.

I did display my work in January/February 2019 and I sold one of my pieces through the display too.

My work is a little dearer when buying from the display because any work that is sold, I would have to give a portion of it to the organisers of the display.

And I have drawn pictures for people on this forum before.

They would send me money/cheque through the post and I would then post the picture.

I usually sell the picture in a frame and due to parcel handlers the frame has come out damaged but it’s only a £2 frame and I suppose it acts as extra padding :).

Lovely drawing Matt. At least you had some enjoyable time at the craft group. Are they going to be able to open up in another hall somewhere else?

Thanks girl :).

Yes, the craft group is still going, it’s actually held at a pub, just a 10 minute walk away :).

The reason why it’s in a pub is cos the lady who runs the craft groups knows the manager of the pub and he allows us to do our groups… which is good of him :).

You've certainly captured a family likeness Matt. Really good drawing (as always) & I'm sure your friend will be pleased. Shame about the centre though but I hope the pub proves a good substitute !

Hope you and yours are well .... x

Thank you, Cat :).Well, I wouldn’t call this person my friend but mostly an acquaintance :).

He’s somebody I know.

And to be honest, I find him a bit… off.

He seems to be quite a busy person.

I texted him to tell him that I’ve completed the drawing and would he like to buy the original or the print and does he want it framed and he hasn’t texted me back yet so I don’t really know if he wants it or not.

But it’s no skin off my nose if he doesn’t want it.

It’s another picture added to my portfolio :).
