I've a complicated medical history & a few odd allergies, peg being one of them, so had AZ (as Pfizer contains peg). Had symptoms which concerned me (not the 'expected' stuff either) so decision made (not taken lightly) not to have 2nd vacc. Just like to point out that I'm not anti vax (18yrs NHS) & would strongly advocate for the vaccine...unfortunately just not for me.

Both AZ.... Despite the possible rare link with the same type of blood clot I had in 2014.Consultants were clear that my risk of covid related clots were much higher.

Now working in the vaccination centres.

Had two, arm was a bit sore for the first couple of days the first time. The second one the arm was more sore, and I felt cold and kind of off for about a week, but nothing major.

PEG is in some of them - the same stuff that is in Restoralax and perhaps other constipation remedies - works well. (The point here really is if you have had PEG in something before you know you do not gave an allergy to it .)

I’ve had both (Pfizer) and I urge everyone who can please get vaccinated. The pandemic is not over by any means which I’ve seen over the last few weeks. The Covid ICU (where I work) and the covid wards are full. I’ll be having my third booster vaccine in a couple of months too x

I had both mine ( Pfizer) I was on the govt shielding list as I have complex medical issues and the first jab flattened me for a couple of days - but nothing that stopped me getting the second one because I know covid could be the end of me if I got it without being vaccinated. With the second one I had a headache and general aches for two days but nothing more. I have been told I will be offered a booster in the autumn with my flu jab and I will be happily accepting that too.

I’ve had both Pfizer, felt headache was worse with first and off for few days then ok was fine with second, no worries and happy to have booster. Well aware with my brain aneurysm and emphysema, I would not be offered abed in icu, love Alice xx

I haven’t had mine I’m to scared what scares me the most is the future I have enough problems now due to tbi how do we know this vaccine won’t make things worse the side affects in future

I got my 1st Pfizer shot. My sore arm, fatigue and tiredness went away within 3 days but developed severe dizziness off balance, headaches. Its been 1-1/2 weeks. I'm very worried if this doesn't get better soon. If I Still feel like this near my 2nd shot. I'm not taking it. Sorry to scary everyone, but this is my experience. 🙁

Hi Marc, sorry to hear this. Reading your older posts, your BI symptoms were to do with dizziness and so on originally, weren't they?

What was your brain injury, and what support did you get? How are you now? Did anyone mention vestibular or benign positional vertigo problems to you? My BPV predates my TBI and comes and goes - but for some people here it is directly triggered by their BI.

Yes, I'm still dealing with some of my PCS 3 years ago. I don't think I completely healed. My injury at work, I tried walking under an open Matson container door early in the morning still dark, I thought I cleared it. Bam top of my head, got my bell rung. I didn't pass out, but I totally lost my balance that moment. I got free vestibular exercises at a physical therapy facility for 5 months that's all they would allow. I did all the eplys maneuver at the time I was fine. They sent me to 12 free visits to a psychologist. I was 1 year on workman's comp. Then got cut off. I knew I wasn't going to be 100% by then. I had to leave my full-time job and do only part time.

Sorry to hear about that Marc. Not so dissimilar here, I couldn't do my work after my accident and am just over the three years point too. My symptoms get worse when I overdo things - very hard not to though, better than I was before I got help though. I did get support for quite a while from my insurance here - and at least you got some sort of support initially.

Is it worth you contacting Brainline or the Brain injury association for more advice? (We use Headway here.)

I've had both mine - AZ. Felt a bit rough for 48 hours or so with the first one, and was fine after the second.

Very relieved to have them both. Having Covid and long Covid would be much worse. At first was just getting reports of people getting Covid, but now people I meet are starting to mention friends and family they know with long Covid.

I've been fine since the second vaccination. This vaccine seems better (less side effects) than some of the ones I had just to go to India. The science of vaccines is very well developed and understood.
