Accute Pain In Shins And Ankles

Legs! Recently my legs have been in severe pain. After a few hundred yards walking on the street my ankles develop a pain, further on and the pain moves to my shin bones and muscles. Then I have to rest and lean on something unless a seat is nearby. Purchased disolving pain killers from Pharmacy. Chemist told me to consult a doctor, after seeing my prescriptions for Epilepsy, Leukimia and my heart. At this time (Pandemic) reluctant to bother doctor. Should I? This is not for Headway or Epilepsy. Appears to be no other choice!!

Hi! I would definitely consult with a doctor. It might be something that they can easily help with, but it also might be something that would be best seen as soon as possible to help with treatment etc.I have been seen quite regularly at my doctor's as I need regular cortisone injections and some regular tests. Actually, I saw my lovely GP for an injection on Monday and he immediately realised I was unwell with something else and put me on strong antibiotics. I didn't even realise that I had a nasty infection! The injection has been rescheduled.

The doctors I have seen said they really didn't want people who needed to see a doctor to stay away because of the pandemic.

I hope you can get this sorted and feel better soon.

Best wishes. 🌼

Hi Cavallo, yes I would see your GP, they really don't want people that require help to stay away. You don't need any more stress, and your GP may be able to put your mind at rest.

Best wishes 🍀

Thank you. Think I just needed convincing of this. Another member has said the same.
