Anxiety is on the rise....

A little while ago I discovered this excellent self-help book that has remained in print since 1962.

Dr. Claire Weekes was a GP and was the pioneer of cognitive behavioural therapy. This easy to read book clearly addresses all issues surrounding anxiety. And offers practical strategies to be free from anxiety (nerves).

I ordered this book online from the Book Depository (free postage) a few weeks ago. And am reading it for the second time. It’s only 178 pages. Dr Claire Weeke’s communication is very clear and concise, with a bit of humour thrown in. So, it’s not boring at all! The strategies provided have certainly helped me to stay calm despite the increasing times we are living in.

Morning missus ! It's certainly a convenient time for reading, and self-help books are often in demand at times like this. I'll take a look at this one.

One of my favourites when plagued with panic attacks was 'Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway' by Susan Jeffers (not at all appropriate in present climate) but it was her version of therapy together with SSRIs which worked ultimately.

I'm self isolating as advised, apart from taking walks along the river or in other green spaces. I hope you and Artie are well. We're here again on opposite sides of the seasonal spectrum. Take care m'dear….

Love E.

Hello you! It sure is a good time to read and lose yourself in gardening. As you do. Especially now that we are all in quarantine, until further notice.

Susan Jeffers is a blast from the past. I think we all have our own way of maintaining our well being. Am glad that you are keeping on top of yours. For me, it’s being active outdoors too. And keeping a positive mind set.

All is good with me thanks. Artie is well and sends a tail wag to you. Love to you too and happy gardening. xx
