Last year was tough being bullied at work because of my brain injury from someone who I thought knew better but I guess I was wrong!! I’m too old for it, it really knocked my confidence. I joined a new gym which has smaller groups in classes which is great. I get the attention that I need but I am self conscious that I feel like I stand out. Always having to stay focus to remember the routines. I keep fighting!! I know how lucky I am compare to some. My new resolution is to braver, stronger, fierce!!
New Year: Last year was tough being bullied at work... - Headway
New Year
You sound like a tough fighter. Keep up the good work.
When I got my brain injury I tried to carry on working but my boss treated me appallingly and wouldn't believe me. He bullied me. And he's a psychologist!!! In the end I had to stop work altogether (and I loved my job,) because my problems with fatigue, sensory overload, memory etc were too much. I hope one day I can do some volunteering.
Let's hope the new year gets better.😊
Good girl Sarah ! x
Hi Sarah.
What does not kill you only makes you stronger, keep positive and surround your self with true friends and never give up girl.
All the best ?.
I lost who i thought was a really good friend and get the "you don't look like you had a head injury" so I keep it to myself. I support you whole heartedly for not giving into bullies. I tell people to "go get educated" that throws em!
I wish you every success in whatever you do, be strong but take time out when YOU need to. I think you should be proud of yourself.
I was bullied at work and it was awful. I have a blog that I write positive stories of situations I have to tackle after my Brain injury on kavitabasi.com which may help?
You can also read my book :
Room 23 surviving a Brain Hemorrhage
where I talk about work and how I had to interact with colleagues. X
