feeling stressed

What a weird day yesterday, went to my placement for uni. Did half a day, my husband picked me up and we went for lunch and shopping. When we got home I felt really stressed and tired. Not sure why, as it had been a good morning. I fell asleep on the sofa for an hour and a half at home. Crazy x

Whilst fatigue is generally no laughing matter, I did raise a smile when I went for appointment at the neuro clinic. I mentioned that, as my new shunt was apparently working, I was puzzled by the desperate fatigue I had been experiencing.... the reply went something along the lines of:

" Well, we DID have to do surgery on both sides of your brain, you HAVE had a serious infection and we DID cut you from your ear to your abdomen and remove everything we thought shouldn't be there from your 50 years of previous surgeries to prevent you from becoming continually infected. I'd suggest you think about Easter parties rather than Christmas ones, recovery-wise."

Either someone was an expert in understanding my general approach to things, or they'd been tipped off that I only do serious as a last option...even on the mysterious topic of fatigue.
