Blurry vision in one eye

The blurred vision had gone by the time I was 22 years old... now it’s making a return with a slow vengeance... I have noticed over that past 5 years that it’s blurry in one eye I and some days is worse than other days I have been to the opticians and they have said they can’t see anything wrong with that eye I am kinda worried because if I wake up one day and the vision has totally gone then I am left with an eye that’s is useless I do have one lazy eye and that’s not that eye that’s having the problem I don’t know where to turn or who to speak to because I clearly don’t know what to make of it the RTA happened when I was four years old had to spend 3 months in hospital not knowing how to talk and having to learn those little things over and over again well I look back on it and find that I am kinda lucky but why is my vision going in one eye what could be making this worse thoughts racing through my head not getting a minutes peace not been able to calm down is stressful enough.

Has your optician not offered to refer you to an ophthalmologist or optometrist for further investigation ? If not, you should ask for a referral.

Good luck, Cat x

Where abouts are you ? There are many private clinics now providing treatment financed by the NHS.

Do you have an 'Optegra' clinic within reasonable travelling distance ? If so, get your optician or GP to refer you ; they're excellent. Your eyecare provider should provide an alternative when they're unable to help. Good luck... x

I agree with cat, or go to another opticians for a second opinion. I don't know your age but there are other age related reasons for blurry vision and it can happen in one eye at a time, it's a cataract.

I am 42 years old I have a lazy eye and that was the main cause of double vision and so on but my left eye has fourth nerve palsy unsure as to what that is but I was sure that was on the Bain but I am just as lit as anyone else

But thanks sue-66
