MRI result

Had my MRI scan after a week in hospital. I’m so pleased the 17 coils , two stents are doing their job . Not sick anymore which is another good result. The aneurysm is so big that it’s leaning to the right which is why my sight is affected and the dizziness. It might be a timescale thing the consultant doesn’t know . As he said, neurologists have no idea about how we feel after clipping or coiling and they rely on us to tell them our symptoms. I’m hoping the beast shrinks a little as I’m doing okay apart from the discombobulated feeling which is very debilitating. It’s fine when I’m lying down or resting the head but awful when I’m upright . I go back in June so hopefully things will have improved a little . He offered a brain bypass—- no chance mate !!! He agreed .

I hope this finds you all still on a good road , I know I’m so impatient but I hate being like this .

So happy to hear from you and you are so positive for the future. That positivity is what is needed.

I still have days when I have trouble once upright but it’s amazing how working on through it can help.

I also struggle with standing/walking/ changing direction, and your description of 'Discombobulation' is really spot on.

Good to hear of your favourable scan results though Shon and I hope that, along with the relief from sickness, your quality of life continues to improve. x

Hello my lovely,

I’m so sorry to read that you are experiencing new problems after already having previous problems. Thank goodness you reported your symptoms soon so they were able to look and find out exactly what you needed.

I sincerely wish you luck and I don’t blame you for questioning the brain bypass. I too would not have been instantly accepting. It’s as though medical professionals do not realise that individually we have been through enough and are not prepared to just accept that a future procedure is going to be as easy as going shopping!

Let me know how things progress, you will be in my thoughts.

Take care,

Vikki

I will keep you all on updates when I get them . It hasn’t helped much with the symptoms but at least I know it’s all good with the coiling and the dizziness and eye problems are due to the aneurysm itself . Hopefully it will shrink a wee bit 🤞🏽. Fed up but hopefully things will improve . The consultant himself said he has no idea how I feel and I reckon that sounds right . I’ll be a medical statistic lol 😂

Take care and thank you
