I woke with a “bad head” on Sunday 20th jan 12.37 am took painkillers and went back to sleep. Woke at 7 am to Alarm still no better, cancelled all of my jobs for that day (I’m a cleaner, self employed Sole trader)and slept until 2pm that afternoon
To cut a long story short my bad head was a blood blister on My Aneurysm that had burst
I had Coiling on the Wednesday lunchtime just wondered if anyone else has experienced this someone who I can tell my fear frustration and feelings too

Hi Kazzy. I had a SAH 7 years ago. I was online in bed at 1am checking my bank account and found I'd been scammed. I suddenly felt very light headed and knew I was passing out but managed to call for help before passing out on the bedroom floor.
I spent 2 months in hospital although cannot remember the first month. My bleed was fixed with a titanium coil.
I still had severe headaches 5 weeks on but around that point they gradually became less frequent. How have you been feeling since your coiling ? Cat x
Yes I have my pal to thank for getting help. I lived alone but he stayed on & off and that day he planned to do his routine 70 mile trip to see his family for a week or so. At the last minute he decided to stay an extra night, so when I called out he broke my bedroom door down and called 999.
It's difficult to convey the impact of a bleed on the brain to anyone who hasn't experienced it, or some other form of brain injury. I've stopped trying.
I'm left with impaired mobility, short-term memory deficit, headaches and heightened emotions (quick tempered & intolerant of noise/bright lights etc).
I don't know anyone who's made a full recovery from brain injury. What would be a typical bad day for you Kazzy ? x
You’re question made me think about my “typical bad day” and it’s made me think they’re not so bad in comparison to others and maybe i got off lightly! However it’s generally fatigued, low mood/tears and no mental capacity to think about things in depth, also my Sciatica and coccyx pain of which is there every day is a pain in the backside (literally)!🤣

You're doing SO well Kazzy ! To be communicating at 3 weeks post coiling is pretty remarkable. You must be a tough cookie.
Bur it's still early days for you so please remember to rest plenty and drink much more water than usual. That combination is the best therapy for a recovering brain.
Wow I had bad head for months n months n one occasion I saw blue bubbles in front of my eyes n pain like uv never known in your life, I laid on landing n crawled into my bedroom, sweat was pumping out of me n I knew my phone was with me on the bed but I couldn’t lift my head up long enough to find it, I thought I was going to die, nobody was in house with me n nobody nearby who could hear me shouting, I cried for help I needed an ambulance n nobody could hear me, I fell asleep n woke up the next day able to move n do everything but head was so bad I rang taxi n went to hospital, I had bloods done n alsorts else n was kept for hours for observation n sent home, nothing to explain what was wrong. The head ache stayed for a week but not as bad n then every so often my headaches came back n went. 7 months later I had a massive for n they did a brain scan which showed two anyeursms that were big n needed surgery, not ruptured though n they sent me home n told me if I get a thunderclap headache to ring 999 I said what’s that mean he said a headache uv never felt in your life I said I had that last year, I still think to this day that was the start of it but luckily it didn’t rupture n I had them both clipped 5 months later
And I Am very lucky I always say the seizure was my life saver, the discharge letter said it was highly unlikely the seizure was anything to do with the anyeursms, but after two brain ops n going to fit clinic after that they decided the right hand side one which was 18mm was massive n was probably pressing on something which caused the seizure. I only had the one seizure but it got me a brain scan which showed the anyeursms, they said they need to clip the right side ASAP but the left they could coil it, I refused coils, I researched both n wanted mine fixing properly the first time as coils can move n av u back into theatre for more coils adding n uv to av scans for a few years after, I had one clipped one week n other side done two weeks later n never had to av anymore scans just one follow up app for neuro to see how I was n I was fine, I did get re referred as I was always tired n I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue x
I had the same surgeon who looked after Richard Hammond of top gear. The doctors kept telling me I had the top neuro surgeon Stuart Ross operating on me n he reassured me not to worry. I googled the op lol watched it on YouTube so I knew what they would av to do to me, can’t watch it now it makes me cringe but he fixed me.
I had a SAH just over two years ago, after misdiagnosed twice with severe migraine, the burst one coiled and another one been monitored, it was a long hard slog as everyone will say, tiredness, headaches etc and people saying oh you're better now, and a friend of mine had the same but serious, anyhow you have to persevere and I ran a 10k Santa run at Christmas and just had a 2nd angiogram which was all good, so hopefully you will get there
I booked all my family for race for life the year I had my seizure n my op was two weeks before so surgeon wunt let me do it, family wasn’t happy I made them all book n got out of it doing it x
Hi Kazzy4. I had a SAH Oct 2017, like you I didn't know I had a haemorrhage until I was told in A & E. I was treated with coiling - I have 5 in place and I have made a full recovery. I feel very fortunate to be able to say that because a lot of folk are left with problems. So just do as the medics tell you and work slowly towards full recovery. Good luck to you, you aren't alone there are lots of people on this site who fully understand.
