Pat, phone the Headway helpline for advice on rehab in your area, though there can be quite a wait for places. The no.is 0808 800 2244.

Best wishes, Cat x

Hi ExPat352

Not sure where in the world you are.

You have got great suggestions for the UK.

If you are in America biausa..org. might be helpful.

For Spain and Sweden try neurooptima.com.

I had a RBI in the Netherlands and was given 6 months inpatient intensive rehabilitation and 18 months outpatient rehab. I had a lot help to get back to work and was not allowed to work full time as it was not good for my health and I was given extra financial support because this. On returning to GB I found that such rehabilitation in very difficult to get and the DWP refused me even to apply for disability benefits until I questioned this. The outcome was that I was forced to work full time and as a result was a deterioration of my disability. I now regret returning to the GB as the disabled are not valued.
