Hiya I had 6 week stay in hospital last year and then I wasxalso in over the Christmas holidays for 3 weeks with the same thing Euro Sepsis but I want too sa6 that after my stay in hospital my consultant referred me onto neurological team in one if the hospitals here in N Ireland for urgent neurological assessment ..Now I was diagnosed with two Cerbrral anyersums back I 2013 and I get regular scans every 6mths for these bit it'sthis urgent referral I'd l8ke to go back too when I enquired how I'd have too wait to be seen I was shocked there is s waiting list of 118 weeks for an urgent referral and 152 weeksfor a normal one is there anyone on here who has had the same problem I think it's a disgrace in all fairness I could be dead before iam seen

Hello James, sorry to read about your troubles. I know exactly what you mean though. I used to have a scan once per year, it was a pain because I live near Fleet in Hampshire and had to take the day off work and travel to Southampton for it. I am now told I only need a scan every three year despite having had a stroke and being told I have new aneurisms.

I really hope they get to see you sooner rather than later, I know what a worry it is.

Hi James, that really is a shocking length of time to wait for what appears to be urgent care. I’m not sure if I’m correct or not (as you live innnorthern Ireland, but innEngjad you are often allowed to choose a different hospital to be treated by. Has your family investigated treatment at another hospital? Would it be out if the question to look at the waiting lists at hospitals in England to avoid a 118 week wait ? Belfast to Liverpool is just an hours flight :) good luck x
