Hey everyone I’m only new to this
I’m Matthew my brain injury happened 28th December 2015 seen then I’ve been strong through this but it’s now come to a stop , I don’t like stops just keep going!
From then I have been through a lot and even feeling like your different from everyone is hard
I’m looking to move forward and meeting new friends, believe & receive is what is coming, it’s time to build a life & work together through it

No your alright, well 28th December 2015 I was sleeping and got beat with a drop bar , the court case went on until yesterday and now it’s finally over yayyyyyy he got 15years 😃 type Matthew Larsen Belfast into google, but even times in between the people I knew where always trying to get in contact not knowing what a brain injury actually is & in between all that I’ve had a few loses, and I just wanted a new life and that’s what Im going for 🙌🏻

I’m really happy it’s over I’m now trying to build a life that went on for too years 😅 now it’s like I don’t no where to start now 😂😂 well apart from this witch is a great start 😀 but besides that how far I’ve come it’s an inspiration recovery wise 🙌🏻 always being told I never give myself credit x
Welcome Matthew. Just read the newspaper report of your attack ; sounds horrific ! Hope you're surrounded by good people now and coping with the results of your injuries.

That’s a big thing over with 🙌🏻 it’s like anyone that doesn’t have a BI they will never understand completely 👌 but that’s not going to stop me now that that’s out of the way & it’s talking to other people with a BI or has a good enough idea that’s going to help to , this is the next stage 👏🏻 I was isolated for ages due to everything 😅 but all is going well so far 😀 me & her split up tho we’ve a son 😎 we Jensen mini me 😄😄😄😄😄 I really hope all is going well for you! If there is a BI group near you it could be worth joining just to meet others who have had BI. I go to one that has been set up by someone who was hit causing a BI 6 year ago not as bad attack as yours as this was just one hit but the person got a pathetic sentence as it was not planned or carried on. Through me going to this BI group I now do some running helped by the man who set the group up and have signed up to a 10k on Easter Sunday which I have never done before will be a good day as it’s the 6 year anniversary since the man got BI and he started this 10k so the day doesn’t have bad memories for him. I’ve got a bit to prove to show him I can manage 10k but he has helped and is going to go for run with me a few times before the 10k.

Welcome . I have to admit my situation is totally different to yours, but the resilience and determination to keep going is the same.I ended up with brain damage 29 years ago, but I keep living life as best I can and try to remember smiling is painless and laughter is free. Chin up and take care.

I had my brain injury in 1998. Still improving everyday. I have only just accepted this is a new me, get on with life. Unfortunately my husband has just asked for a divorce as he cannot cope with my moods any more. This has made me accept things . May be too late so do not let it happen to you. Well done for understanding you are and fighting.
