Back in October, we asked members of this community and our Facebook page how pets have helped after brain injury.

We were inundated with responses, and it's clear that having a furry friend can have a hugely positive effect on wellbeing after brain injury.

Your dog does not judge you when you are walking around not remembering what you have gone into the kitchen and back in 3 or 4 times then falling to sleep in the chair. Or mumbling on about nothing. Even will forgive you as you let her out and have forgotten you had . Just a rub on the belly all is good

I missed my dog when I was in rehab following a SAH but every so often a little dog would be brought in for patients to pet and stroke and this was very popular.
