I think you should ask about your Neuro.

It does need to be investigated. If you are no longer seeing a neurologist then ask your GP to refer you. There are a few things it could be and panic attacks is one but I think you would know if it is happening when you are in a state of high anxiety. Another possibility is that it is focal fits. They are different to grand mal fits when you become unconscious and violently twitch etc. Focal fits present in different ways but can absences and sensations etc. If it is getting worse you definitely need to be checked out and investigated by EEG etc. Even if you haven't had fits when you first sustained your Tbi there is always the possibility of developing them within the following 5 yrs.

mb2510 i had that, mine would last for about an hour, when it was over i would throw up and if i didnt get to a toilet in time, id shit myself.

eventually i was diagnosed with spacial? epilepsy and was prescribed topiramate along with the epilim i was already on for behaviour.

it works, but i still have them, the last one was week monday and that was the first time in a couple of months.

get it checked out

Your symptoms do sound like panic attacks, which can strike without warning, often at relaxed or least expected times. The dizziness and loss of feeling in limbs is classic, but the loss of speech suggests possible seizure.

So do ask your GP for a referral for an EEG, if only to rule it out seizure activity. Best wishes, Cat .
