Does anyone experience Hyper happy craziness? Verbally & energetic? First time at work... Apologised next day. Luckily I'm known for excitement & Humour. Will have to go for a walk next time... Otherwise a drugs test might be asked for. Which is definitely clear.

too many Skittles? lol. yes I know what you mean, do you not think it's because we are so repressed these days, no decent side-splitting sit-coms or belly laughs. Everything is so PC and cautious that we have to burst and have a crazy half hour sometimes or we just might combust! x

Maybe all part of the brain injury after-effects Ghost. Loss of inhibition is extremely common among survivors and can swing between manic hilarity and aggressiveness.

Best to explain the situation and, as you suggest, absent yourself from the workplace temporarily 'til you've composed yourself.

I really do empathise ; it can be pretty uncontrollable and something which tends to creep up on me in hospital waiting rooms (or anywhere which demands decorum). x

hi Cat, I hadn't automatically connected it to brain injury, but yes you're right. I get it a lot in those similar situations where a level of 'decorum' is expected. I just thought it was because I didn't feel in 'sync' with my surroundings or what was going on. x

Fortunately I never get aggressive. Just recently extra hyper. Not always at appropriate time in front of customers..

First time for me..

Will dissappear next time for a small break next time.

Cheers

This was the Bain of my life when I returned to work and it went down like farting in a lift with my director. It played a significant part in me being pensioned off at the age of 35.

I still experience it 9 years post BI although to a lesser extent. I think it's through living a far lower stress life now

The ups and downs of bi.

IT's funny how people accept the low miserable moods but get offended when you are hyper happy. I think it's because " normal" people must mainly be miserable

Explain to them....It may even sink in....That you have little control over your moods.

Hope this works .
