Cranioplasty still has Fluid in head the head is it normal?

My husband had his Cranioplasty about 3 weeks ago and every morning his head look puffy. I touch his head a it feels like fluid in it. It this normal? I talked to his doctor and he said yes but I'm not to sure.

To the best of the knowledge they can test pressure i.e. inside the head. it sounds like worry to be honest. easy done though!

Morning desire. I'm sure the only people qualified to comment accurately on this issue are the doctors. I know that swelling around the scar area, and around the eye below the scar, and further down the face, is quite normal and can last around 6 weeks before being absorbed by tissue.

I believe excess fluid is routinely drained from surgery sites via tube to the gut, but is usually absorbed around the 6 week point.

If you're still concerned after a couple more weeks, ask again. The specialist nurse is often more comminicative than the doctors.
