Thanks Cat :).

I sent in what I wrote to a member of Headway UK and it had to be edited slightly as what I wrote was a lot.

But in all, I have had a lot of operations on my head, 11 to be accurate including a second tumour, and each operation was like my car smashing into a wall again and again and again.

Imaginative analogy Matt, which represents your years of personal struggle very well. x

Thank you Matt, it's a brilliant piece and we're really proud to host it on our website :)

We'll be sharing this and the other creative works on our social media pages this week too.

Best wishes,

Andrew

Hi Matt : )

I've just read your piece - excellent ! Love the illustration too : )

You have such a great attitude. Yes, life has changed but it can still be good - sometimes life in the fast lane doesn't give us chance to pause and appreciate the finer things around us or realize our full potential. Your art and mentor work are wonderful examples of your achievement - without our volunteers working for us where would we all be ? One thing I have learned over the past 4 years is that I don't need a fast car to get me from A to B or to have a good time : )

Thanks for sharing your story : ) Angela x

Hi Angela :),

Glad you liked my art and writing :).

I guess I have got a better attitude now as years ago I was more down in the dumps. But that is no real way to live is it. I would rather see the positive no matter how hard things can be.

I haven't exactly experienced life like many others but I still try to live happy :).

I shall also add that my creative piece was not my best. I have done a lot better as some members on here already know and I have even sold some of my work too :).

Take care,

MJ
