Wishing everyone a better, healthier, happier 2017!
What are your goals or New Year Resolutions to be? I've made a pact (with myself) to get fit and healthy through walking, swimming, positive reprogramming, O'h and juicing. Another habit is "NOT" to read any depressing news. I've fallen in to this trap with reading online papers...I don't have a tv, but I'm going to stop that now, and see how much my state of mind improves. I won't know what's happening in the world which will be okay. I'll switch my laptop for reading books instead. I'm deadly serious!
Has anyone else made a pact with themselves? Please show your inspiring thoughts...I wanna hear!!

I would like to find some balance with managing fatigue, rather than thinking I can/need to push myself too much at home and work and constantly feeling awful. I think I focussed too much on being back to the 'old me' by the two year Mark, which came and went last March, I now need to find a way to make living with the 'new me' easier and be easier on myself rather than trying to prove I can carry on as though nothing happened.
Love to everyone on here and thanks for the help and advice when I've posted.
Sue, I'm sorry you've struggled (as indeed we all have) on getting back to normal. I have a brain injury and suffer chronic fatigue which fluctuates with the weather and how much I've done. In some cases I haven't done anything to make me feel so ill. It really is important to rest when you can! There's no magic cure I'm afraid, every day is different in how your energies and head may feel. I see its fairly recent you had your head injury, you need give it quite a bit more time. It is the slowest of the slow this healing process. Remember to always be gentle and kind to yourself, always put yourself first! xx
FOR ME JUST TAKING THINGS ONE DAY AT A TIME ,NEVER EVER MADE A NEW YEAR RESOLUTION, I WATCH THE NEWS AND I AMMORE INFORMED ON WORLD EVENTS THAN MOST IT DOES NOT DEPRESS ME ONLY INFORMS ME ON THE LIES AND MISINFORMATION THAT THEY TELL, WATCH THE FILM THE SIEGE OF JADOTVILLE TRUE STORY WATCH TILL THE VERY END
Spartan, I'm the exact same when reading our news compared with other news websites. I despair with ours as I see straight through the hype and lies. Thanks for the recommendation - Jadotville - I've never heard of it but will watch.
Yes, one day at a time works best, but I'm just going to make gradual steps to improve fitness, obviously tailored to how I feel each day, nothing too ambitious.
I also have a large network of friends from around the world from many walks of life so I get the real story, just finished me cup of tea working my way to cook breakfast
Small steps for me also.... going to make sure I get out for a walk as much as I am able. And erm.... might try and lose some weight.... when the xmas cake is gone.... which will be as soon as I can manage.
Take care of yourselves everyone... health is the most precious thing.
