Hi dizzywench and welcome. How are you coping now after almost 5 months ? Cat x

You poor girl. A SAH is dangerous enough even when given the attention it deserves, but to be fobbed off by so many professionals is inexcusable, and pretty scary !
I was rushed to my local hospital, and after a brain scan was transferred immediately to another, which specialises in neurosurgery.
Of course aftercare has been none-existent but, with persistence, I've managed the odd check up and an MRI a couple of weeks ago.
I assume you have the usual after effects of fatigue, headaches, dizziness etc., etc........... which DO become more manageable with time & practice !
I hope your check up is reassuring ; let us know how you get on ? xx
yes all the usual things but as you say learn to cope with them and yes aftercare whats that
but i will keep all informed of check up at end of the month x
Hi Cat interesting to hear you recently had an MRI - was that at Salford and if so how did you arrange it? David's last one was well over 12 months ago and I think he'd like another one to see any changes I guess other option is to pay private.
I saw David yesterday and he is progressing well on his Pennine Way trek.

Hi again Jane, Good to hear that David's doing so well ; saw his update just now on JG.
It was a bit of a mish-mash getting an MRI. I managed to get a referral from my GP to Salford, but when the appointment came through it was for Withington hospital.
I was disappointed at first ( I'm Salford's biggest fan) but I couldn't fault the consultant, and the whole atmosphere at Withington was SO positive. (Also free, unlimited parking !)
Then when my MRI appointment came it was for Wythenshawe hosp. .....................so plenty of variety !
Before considering paying it might be worth asking for a referral first.
Love Cat x
Hi I will let David know about that, he's only been to Salford since his accident and hasn't a lot of time for it unfortunately (partly due to complications after his cranioplasty). Can't believe all the messing about you've had, as if it's not stressful and complicated enough. Decision will be up to David ultimately but thanks for the info, Jane x
Good grief, Dizzy. I do not have the words ( other than expletives ! ) to express how you were treated ! Sadly not being taken seriously seems to be all too common these days. Really glad you have come through this and arrived on here ! I'm a big fan of spellcheck : )
