Thank You Strangers.

We’re asked to take it easy,

not all is understood.

Consistently told don’t talk to strangers,

I should not speak to you,

don’t ask for help.

We’ve never met before,

support is needed,

Where is the door?

Brain injury doesn’t always show,

it may be hard to understand which way to go.

This place has not been seen before,

may have visited many times,

all areas provide consistent holiday locations,

the supporter is remembered, but not where,

Which to loose?

is it where or who? You choose.

Good morning Cathy. Some times it can help when you need someone to talk to. A stranger is best you will be able to open up to them. And when you do it will help more when trying to deal with your concerns. Mx

Cheers pal, thank you for supporting me. Really helpful to gain understanding of how useful talking to people we don't know is supportive. x

i quite like the idea of thinking that strangers are just friends we haven't met yet .....

I've been on loads of holidays on my own - pre and post BI and if I didn't talk to " strangers" I wouldn't talk to anyone ! Was great experience chatting to several different nationalities on my last big trip this summer... we are all humans after all - and language didn't even stop me communicating with some people ....
