The clue is in the title.
Name the song and artist: The clue is in the title. - Headway
Name the song and artist
True colours ; Cindy Lauper ? I can sing a rainbow ; ???
The clue is in which title Matt ? x
The clue is in the title of the post. It isn't True colours by Cindy Lauper but a good guess. And not I can sing a rainbow either.
Try to dismiss the colours as they are not the important part but really just to jazz up the picture :).
A further clue would be that the song was sung in the 90s era.
H-e-e-e-e-l-p !!
I am stuck too. The guy looks like he might be in The Proclaimers...but I am pretty sure the other one looked almost identical so that's clearly not it. ..
I'm thinking ; this might take a while.............................................................. x
*!! ~~~~~~~ Shiny, Happy People by REM !!!! ** x
And also, there were other little subtle clues in the picture itself. The gold and silver people. Like the lyrics "... Gold and silver shine-e-e..."
And the people are holding hands, again like the lyrics "Shiny happy people holding haaa-nds".
They are shiny, they are both happy and they are both holding hands.
"Say what you see" :).
I was trying, but when you said 'What do silver and gold do ?' I though Mm, well they're made into medals, jewellery, other stuff, but they don't DO anything................................then of course the obvious finally hit me !
Well done MJ and another nice drawing. I just watched REM singing it on YouTube ; brings back memories of a whole other life. x
PS More of these please ; they're really good mind-benders for stretching our brains . x
Thanks.
It's a great song. I like it a lot and it's a happy song too, hence the title :).
I have posted puzzles before, if you remember, but I was using colour pencils then and did not have any water colours. I can use water colours and get these pictures done in a day or two depending on how I feel.
I think the water olours work much better than the colour pencils.
When I started making these puzzles it started on small bits of paper that I would take to my nearest Headway group but that ment passing the paper around from table to table.
Now I have a printer. So I draw my puzzles on bigger paper, scan them and print a number of copies so that everyone gets to see the picture.
Yes I remember them all & been missing them ever since !
Anything which tests our brains HAS to be good exercise ; so please bring them back Matt.
Also, when we're focused on a puzzle of some kind, we're not stressing about other stuff ! xx
I'm glad to hear you say that it HAS to be good. Because that was one of the reasons why I even started doing those puzzles for my Headway and this Headway forum.
But there was the issue with some other folk who were not interested in the puzzles and some even said how could it help?
When a person solves any kind of puzzle it stimulates the brain and therefore that is a good thing.
Now that health unlocked now have the filter system, in putting posts into certain categories, this makes it easier.
The way I see it Matt is that this can be a place for support, comparing notes, BI related events, useful information and occasional humour. So surely there's a little-bitty space for puzzles.
I look forward to yours just like my daily crossword in the I newspaper and an occasional game of online solitaire ; all good for brain stimulation. xx
What you said is how I would sum up this forum really.
Before Headway, my dark days, I used to do a lot of online chatting and spoke to numbers of people from around the world. Each chat room would have a different theme and I spent a lot of my time in music chatrooms because this is where I would talk to more friendlier folk. But you don't sit there talking about music all the time, gosh how boring that would be :). I spoke about anything I wanted to and wasn't really bothered what others thought, these other people didn't talk music all the time either. But some people just wanted to speak about music all the time and I couldn't live like that :).
I agree. Any subject can become tedious without an occasional diversion or a touch of humour. I imagine even the 'Great Thinkers' took time off from their philosophising from time to time, if only to stave off the onset of madness !!
Conversation is so much more digestible I'm sure when it contains light and shade, otherwise it can become rather stale & monotonous.
Well done you ! : ) I 've been puzzling this since last night ! x
Would never have got it without clues !!. xx
Wow I don't think I would have got that from the picture so well done Cat.
I like that song! Well done and well done Cat too! x
I think you should make a little book of Catchphrase songs and sell them for Headway charity Matt! x
That's actually not a bad idea.
I'll come up with a few more of them and maybe suggest doing a book full of them :).
Thanks for the idea :).
Obvious now Cat has solved it! Doh!
