This is an excerpt from a short animated film ; if you haven't seen it I recommend it. It's usually shown some time over Christmas so look out for it in the listings.
Suspend belief for a while and enjoy ! If I were religious this, for me, would sum up the true Christian message better then any nativity. The graphics are stunning and the 'Home is where the heart is' message is pretty touching in the final scene too......
Love and all best wishes for Christmas, and the year ahead, to staff and my amazing fellow survivors here on Headway. πππ Cat Xx

beautiful storybook as well. Happy Christmas. I locked myself out of my account somehow and have only just managed to log back in. Hope all is well with you π
It'll be a quiet one for me Elenor. I'm self- quarantining at present with a nasty virus so luxuriating in a warm bed with TV and favourite DVDs (son will turn up regardless π)...
Hope it's a good Christmas for you and yours m'love ; my best wishes to you all ; hope your daughter is doing well. Love, E. x
I hope you enjoy Christmas as best as you can, I will keep an eye out for this over Christmas as it looks superb, I still look in most days and still learn from your incredibly wise and kind words to everyone here. I will post after the holidays and give a update on my journey over the last year, Take care and eat plenty of chocolate to get a smile on your face
Yes, I watched it in bed last night before settling down. The scenery and the pace are so calming, and with a relevant message .....welcome escapism from real life issues !
Hi Cat, thanks, yes things are going the right way for me at the moment. Having Covid in the summer has knocked me sideways for months, it felt like going backwards two years in my recovery - but I think it's finally worn off recently, because I feel so much better at the moment even with the extra demands of Christmas (def more unfit, but still coping much better again) so all good π xx
I plan to watch this at this some point. It sounds great.
I hope you have recovered from your virus. I've heard of some lingering on for a few weeks. Hopefully not for you. I'm pleased you have family close by for essentials and company.
I feel relieved I got through Christmas and NY (quietly). I spent most of my time alone but it did have a few really good points.
Let's hope that all of us takes something good from 2024. I want to improve my MH. I have also started the national prediabetes programme and have a referral for chronic fatigue so that is quite a bit to do. I'm looking forward to the positive message of the The Boy, The Mole, The Fox And The Horse...xx
Hi Catrabbit. It's a quiet and calm little film, unlike many other animated productions. Do make time to watch it before its time on BBCi expires.
I'm still unable to shake off this virus (thanks for asking) ; should really do a Covid test, but I'm not seeing folk and the treatment is the same for any other virus regardless...
I hope your CFS appointment comes through soon m'love ; the exhaustion can be debilitating..
So many of us here, formerly sociable & outgoing, really want to enjoy Xmas and NY but can't help sighing with relief when it's all over ! π
I just looked at my Notifications again and saw our conversation. I never did manage to watch it. I suspect I told you the same the year before too! But it's ok because no doubt it will be on tv again next Christmas and I will enjoy it then!
Did you recover well? I hope you have.
I am pretty annoyed that I am now pre-diabetes and on top of everything have to cut out sugars. I want to swear very loudly.
Oh not another issue to deal with C-r ! It's odd but, pre-bleed, I had no interest in sweet stuff and never wanted deserts. But I seemed to have developed an actual 'need' for everything sweet over the past 12 years ! I really feel for you m'love.
I just checked on BBCi and 'The Boy The Mole The Fox And The Horse' is still available ! Do watch it ; it's such an escape and a bit of a boost for mental health.. Cat x
