Fantastic forum, full of friendly folk, who are living day-to-day with a 'new normal'. We peak, we trough, it's not always plain sailing, but we keep each other afloat.

Hi Michael, volunteering is a great idea. I've done it for National Trust, YHA & my local charity over the last year. All proved productive in various ways.
Cheers
Welcome to the friendliest place you will ever find! x

Whipsnade zoo - bet you enjoyed that, Jules. Have just been to Blackpool Zoo with son and his girlfriend - I loved it ! Still can't get over how big tigers are for real ( only ever seen 'telly' tigers ! ) Huuuge ... and huggable ( bad idea, I know but that soft stripy fur and those giant paddy paws ... aaah ! ) x
Hi Angelite
It was a busmans holiday while i worked for the local animal shelter here in Newcastle. Wonderful wonderful times. The cheaters facinated me i didnt expect them to have such a small squeak.
Its lovely talking to others who like animals and care about their environment too.
I have been through a big brain whirl wind (like we all do on this site i expect). Today i am feeling 'flatter' and not so mentally unpredictable.
How have you been ?
and, is it just me or are their a number of new people joining recently ? Brings back clear memories of me sitting in front of my computer deciding to join. Best thing i ever did. Literally saves me sometimes.
Kind regards
jules
