pip home assessment
I much prefer a home assessment as it gives them a far better picture of what day to day life is like for the person they are visiting and at least at your place they can see first hand the obstacles you face...
Still it is daunting, this idea that some random stranger is going to come and visit and make a qualifying judgement on the basis of what they observe during the visit.
I really do understand from experience how anxiety provoking these things are but in reality this can only work in your favour and will give them a little peek into what happens when you are subjected to this kind of stress.
I hope you can hold it together until this is done... and that your partner has the patience and understanding to ride this out too... Maybe you can share something nice when its all over and you can both relax a bit.
Sending some positive thoughts your way.
You'll know what's expected of you by now, so keep chipping away at them with reminders of what it's like for you on a bad day. Expect to go to appeal so they can tick their 'zealous' box, but fingers crossed that you're lucky enough to get a good'un this time.
It's hard having to prove yourself when you know how difficult things are for you, and it's bound to stress you 'til you get the OK. I hope it'll work out well for you my friend ; be thinking of you. Come back & tell us how it goes won't you.

I had my PIP assessment yesterday, and to be honest, it was a lot more pleasant than my ESA (which took three years of legal arguments to get me into the SG).
I was made aware of the methods of questioning in order to trip you up, the one they like is 50/50, except they ask the question in such a manner that I had absolutely no idea what it was they were asking me to answer??
And true to form, the PIP assessment isn't geared for mental health, it is very obvious it is only geared toward physical capabilities, as the still insist on the touching your toes and raising your arms, squeezing fingers, etc etc etc, absolutely sweet FA to do with brain injury!
I was told that it would take 6 to 8 weeks for the response to come back as to whether the latest set of hurdles I've been forced to jump through in order to justify my BI, will qualify for any financial assistance.
My forms went off last week, so now it is the wait ...
At the moment I get higher rate mobility but have no idea how I fill fare under the revised rules. Hopefully, they will take the full 16 weeks to process the form which will take me to November and the 6 to 8 weeks after that will take me to the new year before I get the decision .... the wait....
Don't worry my friend
I had mine on end of January but I was so nervous too like you but if you have document about your problem and they will ask you lots off questions about your Daley life and how your lines effect in your life and some fiscal examination and that's it . Don't be worried it will be pass
I wish all the best for you
