thought this was rather lovely
Reminds me of my bald, one eyed very, very loved bear. He (Rupert) sits on my bedroom shelf beside the books and, despite looking really raggedy, I still can't throw 'him' away.
He was real to me for many years ! xx
aahh cat never throw him away
No Razy I won't, not now. But there was a time, when my son & daughter still lived here, that there was pressure to get rid of that 'mangy bear'.
One time when my GP was due to arrive, my daughter stuffed poor Rupert in the wardrobe saying 'You can't let a doctor see 'that'............ you'll be certified !
And I almost bowed to the pressure to dispose of him but, unable to throw him in the bin, I decided cremation was the solution. So poor Rupert was wrapped in a silk scarf and placed in the wheelbarrow with my kids hovering with matches.
My lovely, crazy neighbour arrived to say Mass and amidst much giggling & hysteria I swiftly rescued him from an awful fate and he's here now looking at me with his one eye and a rolled up pop sock on his head to keep his horsehair stuffing (brains) from falling out.
So I have this companion, also with a head injury, and we are now inseparable !! xxx
