I believe this is used in game of throwns, never seen it so can only go on what I have been told.
Sorry pic is on its side , tried rotating but didn't cure it.
The lane is actually in County Antrim and is just as spooky as it looks.

Straight out of a fairytale : )
I remember going out for a walk in fog down a familiar country lane near to us,always loved a fog ! I had never before noticed how the trees had all grown bent the same way ,in homage to the wind, truly an enchanted forest I'd thought !
I am half expecting the headless horseman to come riding out of this picture ! x
Spooky indeed
Game of Thrones is a brilliant and very adult fantasy and is I believe filmed in Ireland! I'd recommend it to anyone and this photo is very evocative. As they say in Game of... "winter is coming!"
that photo his playing havoc with my OCD tendency , well i dont know if i have OCD but i just like things so .. lol its a pitty i cant post pictures in replies , we need that option
Oh Paxo, this photo is right up my street. I've always had a childish fascination with such scenes and this one is truly enchanting.
I'm struggling to find the right words today so can't really do it justice except to say I wish I was there walking among those twisted trees & expecting to hear them whispering to each other !
Not familiar with Game of Thrones but I'm going to Google it 'cause I'm curious now.
Thanks for this Paxo xxx
Oh, and the fact it's in Ireland makes it even more special..........................
Not seen game of thrones so dont know how spooky it looks onn tv.
Was visiting friends and had a few hours to kill till we had to set of for our plane home. He then suggested revisiting willows spooky lane.
After explaining we hadn't visited there we were soon hurtling down country lanes with him constantly repeating " you must see it"
So glad we did and soon after we returned home a parcel arrived. He had printed a canvas of the lane with me and my wife walking down it.
It now holds a special place in my heart as well as pride of place on our wall.
oh and yes Northern Ireland is a stunning place.
I might just make a copy for myself. Won't have quite the meaning for me as it does for you though Paxo.
Nice story by the way. xx
aye it's the Kingsroad, complete with fantasy Tarmac, I wonder if the CGI that out or just film from three feet up?
No cgi needed in filming just sls. Thats scattered leaves and soil. Dont fancy sweeping it all up at the end of filming.
