I share your concern Geoff but administrators won't interfere for fear of breaching member privacy. We're all free to absent ourselves with no goodbyes or explanations, as many members have in the past. It's worrying though isn't it when someone so popular as Emma disappears so suddenly, and at a time when she seemed so vulnerable.

Let us hope she's looking in and can see our concern and, when she feels ready, will return to us safely.

And I'd like to add my good wishes for you Emma and hopes that you're getting all the help you need to get back to recovery. Lots of love Cat xxx

I have been thinking of her. I hope and pray all is well. I hope we hear something soon. I know in her last few post she mentioned seizures. If your are reading and can't respond Emma hugs to you!!

Hi Geoff I too have been worried about her and have pmd her but had no reply. I don't suppose she told us which headway centre she was going to in her past posts?

Have just read a past post where she says she lives in Hampshire so don't know if there's a headway centre there??

Likewise I am equally worried and concerned as Emma seemed to stop posting when additional problems were developing with Grand Mal fits. For that reason I assume that things have got more serious as her previous involvement on here would not make me think she has just decided to stop.

I don't think Headway on here would know anything either because we wouldn't be updating admin about our situations because they don't hold that kind of info about us.

Local Centre's don't use this site and as Cat says they wouldn't be allowed to say anything because of rules of confidentuality. So unless any member is from Emma's area and attended the same group I guess we would not be able to find out. Am not sure if she had actually started attending a Headway Group but I think she did have an apt for an assessment but ?at home.

Do hope you are ok Emma as you are very very much missed.

Love and hugs for you Emma

Hi sporan,

Thank you for your post. It is concerning when a member stops posting on the site, particularly given the difficult situation Emma shared with us all.

Unfortunately as admins we don't have any more information than our members choose to share, so are unable to approach her outside of this community. I understand some of you have sent Emma a private message, and she will receive an email notification these, along with the replies on her posts.

We would certainly like to add to the thoughts of all our members - Emma, you are an extremely valued member of the community, we wish you all the best and hope you will be back with us soon.

Thank you for your response to me.

I realise it is essential for yuo respect forum member privacy and thank you for also expressing your good wishes to Emma.

Maybe she's gets how I get: felt like was having mental breakdown, EXHAUSTED, crying all the time. Read others' posts but brain in overload and CAN'T write/type.

And read here and Twitter few times but couldn't think of anything to say, hard to describe but brain feels exhausted/wiped/empty but full of stress = no room for the rest?

Plus today I'm hurting SO bad: neck and lumbar, bad bad pain and ca't get comfy any way, best is flat on back with knees up for lumbar but have to put hand behind my neck coz it needs support = my hand goes numb. SO tiring when in bad pain but went out and put smiley face on for all.

My fault I hurt so bad? Silly me, did ART yesterday, loved doing it (though not quality, not proud of what did) = my body can't DO this any more. So so sad I have to pay after so bad for things I like doing. A hot bath would really help as would things in where I live at right height/in right places for me.

I dunno if she has help at home, family, friends, services? Nobody would know if I was dead, I hope she/others have someone helping/checking she's OK in the real world not just online?

Hi razyheath43,

The Headway admin for this forum have already replied to my post and they have to respect the privacy of all members of the community and that many people, even regular contibutors, drop out for their own reasons.

I suspect that the Headway group in Hampshire would also take the same view which is correct really after all we all want our privacy respected.

I MJ AKA Matt is also in Hamshire and gues if he'd heard from her or his Headway group he would have reassured us.

Emma if you are reading this we all wish you well and hope at some point you will feel ready to return.
