Pashley adult trike looking for a home...

PLEASE SHARE: A while back I bought Jake a really swanky, full size trike: (pashley.co.uk/bikes/tricycl... that we want to give away. Being Jake he has shunned this in favour of getting back on the standard bike he was riding when he had the accident, yes, literally the same one. This means we have a hardly used, top of the range, adult trike that needs a home. I have tried to find a new home for it through Headway and various other organisations without success. We want to gift it to someone in a similar situation as Jake who doesn't have the resources or support to get themselves out in the community. If you know someone who is isolated by their health or situation, who would really benefit from it, but wouldn't be able to get something like this for themselves, please let us know. Thanks!

Hi, just an idea but a recent post regarding Charlottes tandems might be useful. Helpers (ie you) keep the bike & people borrow it from you - email is : [e-mail].

we have recently joined as we have a tamdem that we cannot use due to hubbys head injury. they also like trikes.

depending were you are, we could possibly have it to use for this scheme, or they may have someone near you who could hold it.

Thanks Jenni. We don't have the space to store it unfortunately; Jake is desperate to get cracking on his classic car project and it's in his way!

I know that in Swansea we have a bike riding scheme called bikeability, they help a lot of disabled and first tim riders and are always looking for good second hand trikes, may be they have a scheme near you?

Thanks, but Charlotte's Tandems are only into tandems and tag-alongs. However, feel free to advertise it on the Charlotte's Tandems Facebook site. Have you contacted the Tricycle Association, tricycleassociation.org.uk/ ? We at Charlotte's Tandems, get requests for solo trikes and I put them in touch with the Tricycle Association.
