Very interesting for those of us with concussion. I wish my neurologist could hear this. He's since retired.....

cheers playing on the ipad now!
Oh I'm so glad that you've picked it up.
Sorry, did not hear the program; however assume it was inspired by the Welsh Rugby players bang on the napper on Saturday. Has been loads of media coverage of the incident, in fact the topic about head injuries has recently come to the for. Footballers heading the ball, rugby head injuries, and of cause, Schumacher. Before that James Cracknel's cycling injury, and Richard Hammond's car smash, made the headlines & screens! I have greatly valued the opportunity, to direct people, who would not otherwise have a contact point, to the stories of these celebrities; then of course pointing out that every case is different, these people probably had Bupa, and the best possible rehab', and you probably sore the best bits! (Cynic! Ed)
This impression could have merely corresponded with my bang on the head, and consequent interest in the topic!
Will have to see if I can get it on, 'Listen Again'.
bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05102tf Wow, great listen; As a former rugby player; so glad I was only concussed once, didn't really start till I was 30, and only really played for about 5 years!
Very sobering listening! Made me even more grateful for the recovery I have managed! I am a very lucky Barsteward!
Really Interesting
Thanks , I enjoyed listening to that, makes me wonder how aware sportspeople are of the dangers!
I must admit that my concussion didn't come from anything as exciting as sport! I fell out of my bath and hit the back of my head on the sink on the way down to the floor, 7 years ago...heyho....it took me a long time to get understanding and treatment and that was through Headway, so I'm very grateful. I still have mobility and all the executive problems. Life is very frustrating but it could have been a lot worse.
Thanks for sharing. I hope more whistleblowers come forward, brain injury in sports has always been a taboo topic of conversation. I hope headway are taking note.
