After reading Shellebelles post regarding their success in Photography and my success in Photography is their anyone else out their who has been able to continue with their artistic talents following their TBI or are we the exception to the norm
Who still has artistic talents after their TBI - Headway
Who still has artistic talents after their TBI
I didn't have any artistic talents before my TBI... but I as part of my rehab survival I did develop a creative outlet which has saved what was left of my sanity
I didn't consider myself artistic before my TBI and I don't consider myself an artist now, but I have developed a skill set (and a business) in photography - my specialism is the performing arts. My website is janehobson.com if anyone fancies a squiz.
Oh and, like iforget, it saved what's left of my sanity! (I was made redundant from my previous job and unable to get another whilst still need a graduated return and loads of healing, I took myself back to college to do a photography degree as occupational rehab - the 'rehab' on offer from the local council was a joke).
Well, I have an ABI, to be exact. Pre ABI, I was known for being artistic and even after ABI I am still artistic, despite the fact that I have a slight right-sided paralisys and my handwriting is crap. I am so glad that I am still able to draw and with a little help I get, my art is so much better than what it once was :).
