RIding for the Disabled

Hi there. Today I rode the mechanical horse, Jack, in a sponsored Combined Training Event, and I actually tied First with another lady! Although a Mechanical Horse sounds east, it is actually quite hard to ride, as it is very sensitive with turning, going and stopping. It feels just like a proper horse, and is very good for core muscles. If anyone has the chance, I would recommend it most highly. Thanks to Sue who has been teaching me on him.

Well done for getting back into the saddle Nutkin. Considering what caused your injury this was brave of you and very enterprising.

THIS HAS GIVEN ME AN IDEA. I'D QUITE LIKE TO TRY RIDING FOR THE DISABLED ON REAL HORSES OR PONIES (I HAVE VERTIGO & I'M QUITE SMALL), THE REALLY PATIENT KIND TYPE. USED TO REALLY WOBBLY PEOPLE WITH BITS OF THEIR SIGHT MISSING! I'VE NEVER RIDDEN BEFORE.

NOT SURE WE COUNT AS DISABLED ENOUGH THOUGH.

Yes you do count. Go on the internet and find the Riding for Disabled, Britain. Then put in your postcode and you will be able to see which facility is closest. I know places that do adults are quite limited, but if you are small, perhaps it will help. Good luck! Let me know if you succeed xx

THANKS FOR THE INFO. I'M ONLY 5'2" & CAN EASILY WEAR GIRLS AGE 15 TOPS, PLUS THEY'RE CHEAPER. BOTTOM HALF IS A DIFFERENT MATTER THESE DAYS! MAYBE, IF I WEAR A BAG ON MY HEAD THEY'RE THINK I'M 15.....NOT A CHANCE!
