Had another 40 minute test today, once again i fell in the below average-impaired range... The neuropsych looked at me, told me to stay calm and that he will do everything he can to help me.

The only tests I had done were 2 years ago when I was in the rehabilitation unit and was never told the results so I'm in a fog as to what my present abilities are, other than I can function ok on a day to day basis. I'm no longer having to think of a career cos that's all done and past now, but they're still trying to get me back into work!!!

Honestly Janet, the only reason why I do it is because of school.

Listen Negeen I would if I was your age, nothing wrong with that. Everyone wants to be the best they can be, achieve as much as possible, with your determination I'm sure things will improve for you, you just need to keep fociused and keep on with the practice.

Try to channel your frustrations, you have youth on your side xxxxx

Is this 40 minute test part of the neuropsych assessment?

Negeen profile image
Negeen in reply toiforget

Iforget, it's just a snapshot of my functioning. And then he'll use that to decide how much he wants to test me and what tests he wants to give.

Thanks for claryifying... I thought that was too short to be a proper eval... 40mins of neuropsych testing is is like 10 seconds of real life...mine was over two days and felt like a lifetime and half ;)
