Has anyone had to go through the process of 'Guardianship' Welfare or Financial?

We've been along this long lengthy, stressful process, but made it Now having to renew the order, but are a bit more knowledgeable about things (lol) but not going to be any less stressful

Hi I am going through all this at the moment, in the end I have allowed my partners solicitors apply for now and then hand it over to me in a few years when things running smoothly, I wanted to deal with it myself but in the end I think it would of caused me a huge amount of stress and more sleepless nights. How long did it take originally to all go through the courts system? x

It was a lengthy process, several months. We're due to reapply as it is due renewal in Feb, but need to start the paperwork now. The systems are different in England from Scotland. But the Office of the public guardian are very helpful. Good luck with yours x
