Too TRUE!!!

I'm an IDIOT!!! Who listen to my dad, he said "be quick in life"

When I was at August motors (Honda) They wanted me to redo my 1st year at being a mechinque, I didn't want too and left them, then became an office boy for a few months I guesstimate???

Then had my car crash.

Last Wednesday It was my grandson's birthday and my daughter (Lubilu01) made a lovely picnic which we enjoyed on the lawn, on what was a beautiful, sunny day.

I had several of those 'It doesn't get much better than this' moments, with people I love dearly............ a perfect day with simple pleasures.

So that was definitely a 'Now' moment but I'm not sure whether EVery 'Now' moment is one I would want to treasure.

Still, I respect the point that all of life is precious, especially for those of us who've been given a second chance. Thanks, Leslie for a positive post. XX :-)

Oh mum (cat3) so glad you enjoyed it and we have our 2nd chance. I know it's not easy for you and we can wish it had never happened but unfortunately it did and thank goodness you came through it as well as you have. It makes me even more thankful that you can enjoy days like last wednesday since dad went on to have a catostrophic SAH xx

I like to read your exchanges with your mum, I have 2 daughters who have been so supportive, the sons too don't get me wrong, my mum died at 51 and I never got a 2nd chance, make the most of all those precious moments, I'll never forget my first night out of hospital when my younger daughter lay next to me in bed and cried, just because!! Take care, all of you x Janet

Kirk5w7 is my sister, and I can truly say that I appreciate every moment that I have with her. We, as sisters. know only too well what it means to lose precious family members too soon, and not have that second chance Our family is loving, caring and supportive and I wish everyone could be as lucky as we are in that respect. My sister is inspirational and, I send my best wishes to you all, and hope that you can stay positive and keep striving for a return to full health eventually. x

Kirk5w7 and sister, thanks so much. Its lovely to read what you have to say and I love the family element, I wasn't sure if my reply to mum was a bit cheesy so it's nice to know there are others who appreciate it! I remember the night mum came out of hospital, I couldn't be there as I have a little boy who was 3 at the time and he was in bed by the time mum got home. I couldn't speak for crying at first, it was relief and thankfulness rolled into one but also guilt that I wasn't there. I have to say that my brother is brilliant (he is the blue eyed boy and everyone loves him!)

We have been to see our dad tonight who also had a SAH 8 months after mum, believe it or not. He has been moved to a nursing home and although some bits of it are pleasant it broke my heart that this is where he has ended up. He can't go home due to his needs and it was his absolute worst nightmare. He was a large as life, energetic cheeky bloke. He came to see me the night before it happened then, bang, everything changed. We were just coming to terms with what mum had been through and getting back to some sort of normality when I got a phone call telling me my dad had had the same thing but much worse.

Best wishes to you and your family, keep on fighting the good fight xx
