Hi I received advise before . These are my brothers blood tests he is extremely tired and has pain in joints . Doctors appointment tomorrow

Elevated ferritin can be a result of inflammation in the body but high ferritin combined with a high Transferrin Iron Saturation Percentage is usually enough for doctors to consider haemochromotosis and refer for genetic testing for a definite diagnosis.

I have high ferritin reading and TS reading and a year ago had 10 venesections to reduce it and one last year. My ferritin had reached 800 and was in my liver too. They did the genetic test on me and it was negative. That’s if it wasn’t a false negative. However they are calling it hyperferritinism and it may be a wide type.
