Can you please give more information about how you have been diagnosed with Graves Disease ?
Can you share your blood tests results and ranges with forum members and we need to see your TSH, T3 and T4 levels and ranges at diagnosis and prior to taking any anti thyroid drugs.
Do you have any printouts showing antibody levels and ranges : probably written as a TPO : TgAB : TSI : TR ab :
What medication have you been prescribed ?
What and when took you to the doctor and have your symptoms eased ?
To help you we need this information, as there is nothing on your profile page :
Is that for “thyroid peroxidase” ? If it was and the range is 34 then yes the results would be negative.
TPO doesn’t confirm Graves as it’s a bio marker from thyroid autoimmune and has highest elevations in Hashimoto’s (transient hyper, ultimately hypo) often can be present with Graves too.
There are many different thyroid markers for thyroid function tests & many thyroid antibodies
Thyroid-Stimulating Immunoglobulin (TSI) Graves (and or TRab)
TSH receptor antibodies (TRAb) Graves.
Lab reference level vary considerably & you must know exactly what been tested and the lab range specific to test. If it’s noted as abnormal it’s likely a different bio marker than TPOab.
My last TPO < 34 was measured in IU/mL. So I think it may be a different item.
Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is measured in ku/L and also has a similar reference limit eg <35.
