Hello Abigg4 and welcome to the forum :
Your symptoms are not unusual for people who have Graves Disease as it does appear to be a poorly understood Auto Immune disease and living life without a thyroid is not as easy as some of those in mainstream medical would have us believe.
In order to help you better understand where you are in your recovery from the thyroidectomy we do need to see some blood test results and ranges -
ideally a TSH + a Free T3 and a Free T4 reading and range + inflammation, antibodies, and your core strength vitamins and minerals of ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D, which if not maintained at optimal levels will further compound your ill health unnecessarily.
Since you are in the States can I suggest you also look to Elaine Moore's website and forum - which is especially for Graves patients and Stateside - as you may well find other people in your zip code, time zone, and recommended thyroid doctors and in this specialised field.
